It is printed in Chatham County, 1771-1971 without attribution; original may be in North Carolina Collection in Wilson Library, UNC-CH.

The world was on the brink of war but small home town Chatham was as peaceful as the 'good old days' could be. All the photographs were shot by Dorothea Lange on assignment from Farm Security Administration.
