• Offer items of significance to Chatham’s history to the museum as gifts or as loans for temporary exhibits.

• Donate funds for the acquisition of new items and preservation of the collection.

• Give your time and expertise to help us manage our collections.

• Help us locate or document cemeteries for the cemetery survey. Photograph a cemetery near you or organize a group to photograph a large church cemetery. We can help.

• Contribute funeral programs of African-American Chatham County residents to the collection, or encourage others who may have collected programs to do so.

• Consider donations from your own collection of documents: newspaper clippings, photographs of Chatham places or events, church histories, programs from community events, school yearbooks, or family histories.

• Volunteer to help others with genealogical research.

• Research a topic of interest to you or one from our wish list and share with CCHA.

• Volunteer to help manage the family history or subject file collections at the Chatham Community Library.
