2022 Fourth Grade Field Trips ~ Our Eighth Year!
Here's How You Can Help!
Did you know that all Chatham County Fourth Graders have the opportunity to visit the historic Chatham County Courthouse and Chatham Historical Museum as part of a school field trip? A number of Chatham children have experienced the field trips this fall -- the eighth year that the Chatham County Historical Association has provided the field trips where fourth graders learn about Chatham history, government, and civics. The field trips are staffed by volunteers and each child receives a workbook during the visit that they can take home and share with their parents. Be a part of this important effort to share Chatham history with the younger generation. Here's how you can help:
• Become a field trip volunteer. It takes ten volunteers to host each class visit. We invite you to learn more about the various ways you can participate. Some volunteers participate in every field trip and others commit to occasional participation. Either way, we can use your help and think you will be gratified to have given your time and talents to Chatham’s young people. Contact us at Museum@chathamhistory.org if you have questions or to let us know you're interested. |
