2 Apr 2023, Sunday ~ Reclaimed from the Flames ~ Program Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Reopening of the Historic Chatham County Courthouse
2:00pm and Open House in the Museum noon to 4:00 Historic Chatham County Courthouse 9 Hillsboro Street, Pittsboro
The Chatham County Courthouse burned on March 25, 2010. It reopened April 20, 2013, as the Historic Courthouse with the Chatham Historical Museum. So, 2023 is the 10th Anniversary of the Historic Courthouse Reopening.
Join us at 2pm to hear Grimsley and Taylor Hobbs, the architects who rebuilt the courthouse, talk about the process of reclai1ing and restoring the building after the devastating fire that consumed the interior.
After the program, join us downstairs for light refreshments to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the reopening of the wonderful, restored Historic Courthouse and Chatham Historical Museum.
April 2nd is also First Sunday in downtown Pittsboro so there will be lots to do before and after the Program. The Museum will be open from noon until 4pm..
Admission to the program and Museum are free and everyone is welcome.
